Privacy Policy

What we collect

Your account: mobile number, name, and the profile details you choose to add (photo, username, date of birth, gender, nationality, address, email, WhatsApp number). A community can require some of these from its members.

What you do in communities: memberships and roles, events, RSVPs, attendance, teams, announcements and reactions, and the records of fees, fines, dues, expenses and payments.

Location: the approximate city and country of your internet connection (worked out from its address), and your phone’s location only when you allow it and use a feature that needs it: “On my way” / “Arrived”, searching for a venue, and suggesting your country’s prices when you create a community.

Your device: a notification token so we can send you push notifications, and basic app version information.

Messages you send us, through the website’s contact form (including any screenshot you attach), WhatsApp or email.

Payment details

We never see or store your card number, bank login or wallet PIN. Payments are handled entirely by the payment provider you pay through (for example PayFast, Google Play, the App Store, or your bank or wallet app).

We keep only the payment record: amount, currency, date, method, status and the provider’s reference, plus any receipt you upload yourself for a transfer.

How we use it

To run the service: sign you in, show communities what they need about their members, send invitations, reminders and notifications, keep attendance and money records, and handle subscriptions.

To keep it safe: limit sign-in codes, detect misuse, and fix problems.

To answer you when you contact us.

We don’t sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.

Who sees it

Members of your communities see what each community shows (for example your name and photo, and your RSVP and attendance). Admins and treasurers see the records they manage. The details a community requires are shared with that community.

Service providers that run parts of Eventity for us, only for that purpose: Supabase (database and servers), Google Firebase (notifications and email verification), our SMS provider (sign-in codes), Hostinger (website and email), and the payment providers above.

Authorities, only when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

While your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, photo, number and memberships are deleted. To keep communities’ records correct, events you took part in keep your name as a guest entry, with the fees, payments and fines on them.

Contact-form messages are kept until they’re resolved, and up to 12 months after.

Your choices

See and edit your profile in the app. Turn notifications and location access on or off in your phone’s settings.

Delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the Delete your account page.

Ask us for a copy of your data, or about anything in this policy, using the contact details below.

Security

Data travels encrypted (HTTPS). Sign-in uses one-time codes; PINs are stored only as secure hashes. Access to the database is limited to our servers.

Changes and contact

We’ll show the new date here when this policy changes, and tell you in the app if a change matters to you.
